MBN Received This Today. Please read below.

Hi B.A.S.S Youth Director,

My name is Kate Flood, Fundraising Coordinator for The Ike Foundation. The Ike Foundation is a nonprofit foundation focused on promoting the sport of fishing to America’s youth while developing their appreciation of the outdoors and our country’s natural resources. The Ike Foundation assists civic organizations, youth fishing associations, and other charitable groups in sponsoring events and functions which promote fishing to both inner city and rural youth. These events and functions teach young people about the sport of fishing, the ecology of the outdoors, and the responsibility each person has to maintain our planet’s natural resources.

In addition to promoting the wholesome sport of fishing, The Ike Foundation ® maintains a scholarship fund for qualifying, college bound, high school seniors. Last year, we were able to award a total of $15,000 to five students. Based on the success of our fundraising events each year, our scholarship amounts could differ.

If you know any graduating seniors that are committed to volunteering in the community, particularly in the areas of fishing and environmental/wildlife conservation, please have them visit our website to view the criteria and start the application process. The application and all of the completed materials must be postmarked/submitted online by April 1, 2021.
