Boyne City, Michigan — what a weekend at the MBN HS/JR State Championship!

In the High School Division, it was pure domination. Luke Hendrick and Sullivan Mohlman came out swinging on Day 1 with 24.05 pounds, then doubled down on Day 2 with another 24.44, sealing the deal with a two-day total of 48.49 pounds! They are your 2025 State Champions and are headed straight to the 2026 HS/JR B.A.S.S. National Championship!

Behind them, the race for the podium was intense — Luke Barriger and Nick McLaughlin battled their way into second with 41.82, while Jack Sickinger and Eli DeWaard locked down third at 37.09. Brady LeMarbe and Easton Momrik slid into fourth with 36.08, and rounding out the Top 5, Anthony Oliver and Donnie Periard with 34.83.

But don’t forget the Junior Division — and what a showdown it was! Ethan Hillis and Hudson Shabro held strong after a solid Day 1 and finished with 27.46 pounds, edging out Grayson Spagnuolo and Cash Wyman, who made a huge Day 2 push with 16.81 pounds but came up just short at 27.30 — a razor-thin margin of just 0.16 pounds!

Two divisions. Two champions. And a weekend full of nail-biting excitement, big bags, and bigger dreams. Hendrick and Mohlman — Hillis and Shabro — they’ve written their names in the record books and are now bound for the 2026 HS/JR B.A.S.S. National Championship!
