Within (14) Days of ANY MBN Youth Tournament (Observed Quiet Period)
• Anglers, boat captains, parents, or any person related to or working on a team’s behalf MAY
NOT ask, receive, or pay for information via any communication method from, a professional
guide, state or federal wildlife/fisheries agency employee or any other person deemed an
“expert” by the Tournament Committee.
• Boat Captains, parents, coaches, advisors, or any person related to or working on a team’s
behalf, MAY NOT pre-fish or practice on tournament waters or within the boundaries, (this
includes graphing) without anglers that are competing in the tournament.
a. Exception: BOAT CAPTAIN/person does not have any HS/JR anglers accompanying them
and is pre-fishing for or competing in an OFFICIAL adult club, series, or sanctioned
tournament on the same body of water on or within the 14 days, and notifies the Youth
Director of said Tournament in advance of the 14 days. Boat Captain/person must
provide information regarding the date/location of said tournament, tournament
director’s name and contact information, and results of tournament.
• Contestants MAY receive assistance from other competitors if they are youth contestants and are competing in a MBN Junior or H.S. Tournament on the same date and location. In no case should a contestant have bass in possession in the boat during the tournament any time other than competition hours unless approved by the Tournament Committee for reasons such as those already stated.
